Welcome to the AMC Graduate School. Our aim is to enhance the quality of PhD studies at the AMC by supporting students and their supervisors. All AMC PhD students must register with us. We then monitor your training and offer you a comprehensive programme of courses in practical subjects and research skills.

The doctorate
To pursue a PhD at the University of Amsterdam, of which the AMC is a part, students must hold a Master’s degree in a subject relevant to their proposed research. Their eligibility is determined by the university’s Doctorate Board. More...

PhD course programme
The AMC Graduate School offers a wide variety of courses to help PhD students become more proficient and efficient researchers. As well as basic knowledge and skills, this programme covers the theory and practice of specific subjects in the medical sciences.
