The Center for Microscopical Research (CMO) provides a broad range of instrumentation and techniques for the visualization and microscopical analysis of cells and tissues and for cell sorting.
We invite you to stop by and discuss your applications of electron-, fluorescence- and confocal-microscopy as well as living cell cytometry and cell sorting.
The facility is open to all researchers at the AMC and associated institutes.
You can consult the CMO during the planning of your project. We can contribute to your experiments in the following ways:
- With technical assistance for specialized applications of the available instrumentation.
- By initiating a pilot experiment. By assisting in the selection of a suitable sample preparation method and technical approaches. >
- By introducing you to software for processing cell sorter data and images from electron tomography and confocal microscopy; and for the analysis of moving images of living cells.
- By making available fluorescence techniques and cryo-em for visualizing interactions within cells and dynamic processes in model systems, cells and tissues.
