House rules

The AMC wants to provide a safe and pleasant environment for its patients, visitors and staff. For this reason it has drawn up a number of house rules.

Aggression and intimidation will not be tolerated
In the AMC we treat everyone with respect. Physical and verbal aggression, intimidation and discrimination are not allowed.

Filming and photography (including mobile phone cameras) is not allowed without prior permission
You may only film or take photographs in the AMC if you have received permission to do so.

Alcohol, smoking and drugs are forbidden
Smoking is not allowed anywhere in the AMC, this includes the entrance area. Alcoholic drinks and the possession and use of illicit drugs are also forbidden.

You can use your mobile phone to make calls and use internet, but not everywhere in the building
Areas where mobile devices such as phones and tablets cannot be used because they may affect equipment are clearly signposted.

The AMC operates CCTV surveillance
For your safety and that of others, CCTV cameras have been installed at certain locations throughout the hospital.

If you are not a member of AMC staff, a patient or a visitor, please report to the reception desk
If you are not a patient, visitor, an AMC student or staff member, please report to the reception desk or your AMC contact person upon arrival.

If you are visiting a patient, please check the visiting guidelines of the ward
You are welcome to visit during the visiting hours of the ward in question. To reduce disturbance, in principle visitors are restricted to a maximum of two per patient at any one time.

Car parking: all vehicles and their contents are left at the owners' own risk
The AMC accepts no liability for damage to or theft from cars, bicycles, motorcycles etc. parked on AMC grounds. This applies to vehicles parked in all car parks (surface and multi-storey) and all bicycle parking facilities.

Animals are not permitted inside the hospital buildings
Due to the risk of infectious diseases, dogs, cats and other animals are not welcome at the AMC. Only trained assistance dogs accompanying their owner are allowed.

Do not bring valuables to the AMC
Unfortunately theft can be a problem in the AMC building. For this reason you are advised not to bring valuable items to the AMC. Any valuables should be kept in a locker or lockable cupboard.

Disturbing or dangerous behaviour is not allowed
We expect everyone to treat the facilities and materials of the AMC with respect. Activities that threaten safety or that may cause nuisance to others are not allowed.

Lost property: please hand in any lost property to the reception desk
You are kindly requested to hand in any lost property you may find to the nearest reception desk. Lost property can be collected from the reception desk at the main entrance (C0).

Visitors and external staff are requested to follow any instructions given by AMC staff
While you are on the AMC site or in the AMC building, you are expected to follow any instructions given by AMC security staff or other authorised AMC staff.

AMC staff and external staff are clearly identifiable
AMC staff display their AMC badge in the building at all times. Staff of suppliers and other external businesses display a badge or logo of their own organisation.

External staff? Ask for the safety & security rules
If you are visiting the AMC as an external employee, please ask your contact person for the safety & security rules.
