In addition to our contribution to the regular Bachelor’s and Master’s curricula in Medicine (‘Curius+’), we organize the facultative course ‘Techniek in de Geneeskunde’ (Technology in Medicine). This course provides Bachelor’s students an overview of recent developments in medical technology, with the aim of developing the skills required for critical appraisal of diagnostic and interventional technology and its implementation in the clinic. Subjects include the imaging modalities, radiotherapy, minimal invasive surgery and personalized integrated approaches (the human physiome). The course is part of the second year’s Medicine Bachelors program (4 ECTS on specific Thursday afternoons Sept-June), but in principle also available to other students.
We provide support for 3rd year Bachelor’s students in Medicine who aim to write a Bachelor’s thesis. The thesis subjects will be made available on Blackboard, but we are open to suggestions for specific topics by students.
We have developed computer-assisted training modules in the area of cardiovascular physics and physiology. These modules are free for you to use. The currently available modules are vascular biomechanics and hemodynamics.
