Focus of research:

Developing techniques for the determination of tissue chromophore concentrations (e.g. bilirubin, hemoglobin), which provides information on the physiological condition of tissue and can serve as a non-invasive alternative to invasive blood sampling.

These techniques include:

- low-coherence spectroscopy

- steady state, spatially resolved spectroscopy

- near-infrared spectroscopy

- Raman spectroscopy
