Information about the course Medical Literature: Searching for Evidence (former Evidence Based Searching).

Goal:

Theory and practice on the principles of searching for evidence within the context of evidence-based medicine using PubMed.

Format:

Due to organizational reasons the course has been replaced by an e-learning and optional, when needed, individual search support.

- The e-learning: Zoeken voor een CAT (Dutch only). Module 3 specifically deals with searching PubMed.

- For general information on searches for systematic reviews see the library website.

    Unlimited.

    Target Audience:

    AMC PhD candidates with a clinical background who wish to become more proficient in identifying evidence.

    Language:

    Dutch. Individual search assistance also possible in English.

    Certificate:

    No certificate is issued.

    Study load:

    2.5 hours, which is comparable to 0.1 ECTS points.

    Number of participants:

    Unlimited.

    Costs:

    No charge for registered AMC PhD candidates.
