The molecular biology of the X protein of the Hepatitis B Virus
Focus of research

To find out what is the function of the X protein of the hepatitis B virus. Our computer model of the X protein (HBx) shows similarity to the central domain of a DNA glycosylase. The focus of my research is currently to find out whether this similarity has any in vivo significance.
