Focus of research

The focus of my research is the clinical and cognitive outcome of deep brain stimulation (DBS) in patients with treatment-resistant depression (TRD). DBS modulates brain activity in specific brain areas through electric current, delivered by implanted electrodes. In this project, the nucleus accumbens (N.Ac.) and surrounding internal capsule are targeted.
