Master of Medical Informatics

The master program in Medical Informatics aims to be the gateway to a career at the intersection of healthcare and ICT. Students will gain a deep understanding of healthcare processes and ICT technologies and are challenged to solve real-life cases from our clinical and corporate health ICT partners. The programme offers a wide range of courses with topics such as data science, healthcare organization, logistics, human factors engineering, artificial intelligence, eHealth, software architecture, business and sociotechnical modeling, and strategic information management.

Like the bachelor program, the master program has been accredited as being of ‘good quality’ by the International Medical Informatics Association (IMIA) and holds the accredited status of the Dutch and Flemish Accreditation Organ (NVAO). Out of all the MSc Medical Informatics programmes in the world, the programme offered by the Amsterdam UMC-UvA was ranked at the top.
