Prof. PhD J. Stoker (Abdominal imaging)
Research is aimed at improving existing and developing new imaging techniques and methods for abdominal diseases, especially gastrointestinal diseases. This encompasses the technical development as well as the evaluation of accuracy, reproducibility, efficiency, implementation, and patient acceptance of new techniques and methods. With current and new imaging techniques and methods large data sets are acquired, necessitating development of image processing techniques for optimized and efficient data evaluation.
Current and future research is especially directed at the development and evaluation of:
• Imaging in Crohn disease
• Advanced (MR) Imaging of the liver and pancreas
• MRI of bowel motility
