Laboratorium Long Immunologie (LONI)

Het Laboratorium Long Immunologie (LONI) voert laboratorium testen uit voor:

  1. de diagnose van interstitiële longziekten (immunologische BAL analyse).

  2. analyseren van het ontstekingsproces bij astma om de behandeling beter in te kunnen stellen (klinisch sputum analyse).

    LONI kan bogen op uitgebreide ervaring met het bewerken van bronchoalveolaire lavage vloeistof (BALF) en sputa en het analyseren van zowel cellulaire als oplosbare merkers in deze luchtwegsecreten. Om de kwaliteit van deze diagnostische bepalingen te borgen is LONI ISO 15189:2012 geaccrediteerd (accreditatienummer M153) en participeert LONI in de relevante kwaliteitsrondzendingen van de SKML.

    LONI voert onder ISO certificering ook deze diagnostische testen uit voor externe klanten.

    Naast de standaard diagnostiek is LONI actief betrokken bij het ontwikkelen van nieuwe diagnostische testen om de zorg voor de patiënten continue te blijven verbeteren. Dit gebeurt is nauwe samenspraak met de longartsen van de Lonziektenafdeling van het AmsterdamUMC.

    Doordat de activiteiten van LONI zijn verweven met research activiteiten van de longgroep binnen de afdeling Experimentele Immunologie en met de afdeling Longziekten is een tijdige verbetering van bestaande procedures en implementatie van nieuwe testen gegarandeerd.

    Voor het aanvragen van een immunologische BAL of sputum analyse kan telefonisch of per e-mail contact worden opgenomen met het LONI laboratorium. Een afspraak dient uiterlijk een week van tevoren gemaakt te worden door contact op te nemen met een van de analisten (Barbara of Tamara) op toestel 63688 of via sein 81- 58121, of via eximlong@amc.nl. Bij mondelinge aanvragen ontvangt de aanvrager een email met het verzoek de bepaling schriftelijk te bevestigen.       Laboratory Lung Immunology (LONI)

      The Laboratory Lung Immunology (LONI) performs diagnoistic tests for:

      1. the diagnosis of interstitial lung diseases (immunological BAL).
      2. the analysis of airway inflammation in asthma to tailor treatment (sputum analysis).

      LONI has extensive expertise in the processing of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid and sputum and in the analyses of cellular and soluble markers in these airway secretions. To safeguard quality, LONI is ISO 15189:2012 accreditated by the Dutch Accreditation Council (accreditation number M153) and participates in quality analyses of bronchoalveolar lavage cells distributed by the SKML.

      LONI also performs diagnostic tests for third parties under this ISO accreditation.

      Since the diagnostic activities of LONI are intertwined with the research activities of the Lunggroup within the department of Experimental Immunology and the department of Pulmonary Medicine improvement of existing procedures and implementation of new tests is guaranteed.

      Requests for immunological BAL or sputum analyses can be arranged by contacting the LONI laboratory by phone or e-mail. Requests need to be made at least one week in advance.
