Applications cannot be accepted outside of these dates. Please submit your application with all required documents well before the latest date of application. You can expect a decision within 6-8 weeks after the closing deadline.
Nomination
All applicants from our partner institutions must contact the International Office of their home institution before completing the online application form. Applications received without nomination from our partner institutions' International Offices, will not be taken into consideration.
Application
If you are nominated by your International Office you can send us the required documents via the application form including:
your CV
official proof/certificate of Dutch or English proficiency
official transcript of records
motivational Letter
a letter of recommendation from your home university.
Please note that all documents must be submitted in English, or with certified English translation if the originals are not in English).
Please also note that applications that do not include ALL of the above documents will be considered incomplete. Incomplete applications will automatically be rejected.
Placing and acceptation
We do not operate on a 'first-come-first-served' basis. All applications submitted by the closing deadline are processed after the closing deadline.
Processing the applications (placing) takes up to 2 months after the closing deadline and we request that you do not e-mail asking us about the outcome of your application during this time.
We will notify you as soon as possible after the application deadline whether or not your application has been successful. If you have to withdraw your application for any reason please inform us at the earliest opportunity as it may be possible for us to offer your placement to someone else.
Administration
When you are accepted for an elective at the Faculty of Medicine, we will ask you to confirm your placement. This will all be stated in the correspondence that follows after being accepted. The international Office cannot guarantee but will help you in your search for an accommodation.
