Specialisation
Medical imaging: 3-D surgical planning/navigation, ektacytometry, syllectometry, rheoscopy.
Focus of research

Biomedical engineering in general. Main focus 2-D and 3-D image acquisition and analysis. Some examples:

  • Corrective distal radius osteotomy: Computer-assisted planning and navigation based on pre- and intraoperative 3-D imaging
  • Measurement of functional microcirculatory geometry and velocity distributions using automated image analysis
  • Syllectometry: Effect of aggregometer geometry in the assessment of red blood-cell shape recovery and aggregation
  • Ektacytometry and aggregometry with the Laser-assisted Optical Rotational Cell Analyzer (LORCA)
