NICE contributed to first evaluation of vaccine effectiveness
The NICE R&S team of the KIK and RIVM made it possible to link the NICE COVID-19 data to GGD vaccination data. Results showed great effectiveness of the vaccins against hospital (95%) and ICU (97%) admission. The risk of being admitted when not vaccinated is 22x higher for hospital admission and 33x higher for ICU admission, compared to those being vaccinated. Hopefully these results will convince more people to get vaccinated.
