Focus of research

For my research, I will study the link between gut microbiota and colonic fermentation products and appetite, insulin and glucose sensitivity in humans. Besides, I will look at neural responses (determined by fMRI) to virtual food stimuli and the actual consumption of food and relate these responses to specific quantitative measures of specific fermentation metabolite production in the intestine.
