Neurobiology of child and adolescent anxiety disorders
Focus of research
We're studying neural structure and function of children aged 8-17 who are suffering from posttraumatic stress disorder(PTSD) and comparing them with trauma exposed but healthy children using (f)MRI. Hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal axis and autonomic nervous system reactivity are also measured. Children with PTSD are assessed before and after psychotherapy.
