Focus of research

Our research is focused on the role of DNA mutagenic processes in the adaptive immune system and in B-cell malignancies. I have a background in molecular biology and immunology, and my research includes DNA repair, immunoglobulin gene diversification mechanisms and signaling in B cells and B-cell malignancies. My laboratory addresses fundamental questions on DNA damage and repair in B cells and lymphomas, and performs translational research on novel drugs and therapeutic targets for (childhood) leukemia and multiple myeloma. My laboratory is part of the Lymphoma and Myeloma Center Amsterdam (LYMMCARE) consortium.
