      Scheduled dates:

      March 3 and 4, 2021.

      Content:

Unix is a multitasking, multi-user computer operating system, for which many tools in bioinformatics and e-Science have been developed. Many computers or computerclusters that are used in the analysis for large (omics) dataset run Unix as opposed to Windows. Therefore, basis knowledge of Unix provides the biomedical researcher with the skills to access and use powerfull computer systems and tools that have been developed for Unix and are used on a routine basis in bioinformatics, biostatistics and e-Science.

      Topics:

      1. Introduction to Unix.
      2. The basic commands.
      3. Shell scripting.
      4. awk, sed.
