Symposium and farewell of Professor Monique Jaspers
Professor Dr. Monique Jaspers Honorary Symposium and farewell took place on May 8th. Monique started to work at the AMC in 1992 as coordinator and university lecturer for a new academic program in Medical Informatics and was responsible for developing the first master curriculum. In 2002, she was promoted as associate professor. In 2012, she was promoted as a full professor and chair of the Medical Informatics education institute.
Monique has been a pioneer in: innovations in the bachelor and master programs, ongoing adaptation of these programs, and she was among the founding members of the transatlantic network known as the International Partnership in Health Education. As an associate professor she focused on cognitive, human-machine, and socio-technological determinants influencing interactive use of healthcare information technology. Furthermore, she started the eHealth Living & Learning Lab.
We would personally like to thank Monique for her motivational leadership and immense contributions to our organization during all these years.
