PhD Defense: Fall risk prediction and validation in older adults
A big applause for Noman Dormosh, who defended his PhD thesis on the 9th of November!
His thesis is primarily about how to reliably predict and validate the risk of a future fall of older adults. The prediction is based on routinely-collected data in the Electronic Health Records (EHR) in primary care as well as in the hospital setting using machine learning approaches including the use of Natural Language Processing (NLP) of free-text clinical notes.
