Are you a foreign medical student looking for an experience abroad? We strongly support the internationalisation of our education programs. If you would like to participate in a program offered at the AMC-UvA, you are requested to complete an application. You can obtain the application by contacting the International Office. For some parts of the medicine study the Dutch language is required.
The Faculty of Medicine AMC-UvA accepts a limited number of exchange students from international medical schools. International students can be accepted for study courses, research electives or elective clerkships. For courses and clinical electives good knowledge of the Dutch language is required.
To be applicable , you must have completed at least two years of medical education at your own medical school. Applicants also need to come from one of the official partner institutions (see Global Exchange or Erasmus Exchange) of AMC-UvA. We only accept exchange students in the framework of the official EU exchange programmes or as part of one of the many formally signed exchange agreements between our faculty and partner institutions abroad. If your home university is not involved in an exchange agreement in your field of study, you will not be accepted as an exchange student. It is important that you check this before applying.
On this page you can find more information about the admission requirements, partner institutions, the application procedure and deadlines.
